Metropolitan Melbourne and the Mitchell Shire have returned to Stage 3 Lockdown but Ability Works continues to trade.
As we did at the start of the pandemic, Ability Works continues trade whilst focussing clearly on the health, safety and wellbeing of its entire workforce.
Whilst we have been slowly inviting team members back in recent weeks, since the Premier’s announcement 7th July, we have put a hold on any further people returning to help minimise the spread of COVID-19.
We continue to be hypervigilant with all incoming onsite personnel; screening, onsite hygiene and physical distancing measures. We have stepped up our break time cleaning through-out the day to ensure all equipment and tools are sanitised to the highest possible standard.
Our customers have been incredibly understanding of our inability to accept packing and assembly jobs in particular at this time however we are extremely fortunate to be able to continue to trade due to our large customers and contracts we have in place.
I would particularly like to acknowledge the support the Department of Defence, Transurban, Aurecon, Plastic Solutions Australia, Abey Australia and the infrastructure consortium the Cross Yarra Partnership/Metro Tunnel have played in helping keep our doors open these past fourth months. I would also like to pay tribute to the smaller customers who have stuck with us and will resume their business when we are all able to resume to a less restricted trading environment.
Regards,
Sue Boyce
